Project 4: Final 5 photos
Eventually I picked out 5 photos which I thought were the best, four of which were from my sketches, the fifth picked from the photos “I took along the way”.
Photo 1 (from left to right)
The first photo is of the large lights above the English bridge, i especially like these lights as there is another set of them above the other bridge to Shrewsbury, so you always see them when you are leaving or entering.

The next was taken from just opposite the square giving a nice wide shot of this large christmas tree style lights, as well as keeping in the garlands linking it to the shops surrounding it.

This photo was taken from the heart of the Darwin shopping centre, displaying the 3 large ball decorations hanging from the roof, while keeping in the decoration on the pillar to the left.

Like before, this photo was also taken in the Darwin centre, this time focussing on a corridor, and the decorations running down the ceiling and weaving amongst the lights.

Out of the final 5, this is definitely my favourite. Taken outside of M&S (looking into a window), this colourful display is extremely eye-catching and looks great.
Project 4: All photos taken
While i was taking the planned photos i did find some other places that provided some good photos, so took as many photos as i could, so i had alot of options at the end of it.
Project 4: Annotated sketches
After deciding to theme my photos around the christmas decorations in shrewsbury, i drew 4 sketches of my planned final set of photos beofre i went into town to actually take the photos.
Project 4: Mind map of photo ideas
As you can see, this is a mind map of my photo ideas, or more specifically, what the theme would be for my phots, in the end, the most ideas came from the christmas theme (especially as all of the decorations just came up in shrewsbury. So i settled on that.
Project 4: Primary research (clones)
Using photoshop, i created this image. Made out of a total of 5 images, i did it by placing one on top of the other, then erasing some of the top image, to reveal the 2 people in the first image, after repeating several times there were 5 pairs of people and it looked pretty convincing. In the end i was very pleased with how the image came out, however if i were to do it again, i would be much more careful of shadows and reflections on the floor, as they were very hard to work with and blend in. There are also one or two places where it is clear the image has been erased, but at first glance they are un-noticeable.
